An outing with UPNM-ers

Last Friday, on 22 March 2013, a crazy night with UPNM-ers. J Our mission was to release tension together. To kick start of a great weekend, we hang out 5 people together to sing K, watch midnight movie, had midnight supper/breakfast together in KL area. Usually we travel to KL by public transport and go back to campus very early, but this time, due to one of our friend has car, so, we can go to KL area until very late night.

When walked out to UPNM, the tension of being watched by so many cadets who having Tempur Tanpa Senjata (TTS) training at the field, feel very stress if want to wear slightly more beautiful. Haiz… Let’s ignore their eyes !!!  

1^st mission: SING K

Redbox Ria at Sogo is the most suitable place for us, got buffet dinner to eat and good facilities of karaoke room.  For Night Hour, with student card, we only pay RM28 per head for 3 hours, worth it. If don’t have student card, may hit RM40++ per head. We book our karaoke room for 3 hours. Before we leave, got a Red Box crew came in our room and told us we were the lucky team who get lucky draw, get a free voucher. Wow, so great, she also took photos of us as the evidence. J What a lucky day.

2^nd mission: AH BOY TO MEN 2

From Sogo, move to Times Square for midnight movie. We are UPNM students, so watch a military + comedy movie with UPNM-ers is great. The movie is very funny and told us a lesson “LEAVE NO MEN BEHIND”. Before the movie, they still spend their time for pool game. I didn’t know how to play just watch them beside. J

3^rd mission: SUPPER/BREAKFAST

Already very late midnight, after movie, we still had a pit stop before back to UPNM. This café very famous with their home made Wan Tan. Recommend to try this café. Life in KL is more midnight, more wonderful. J

Larian SUKAF 2013

~ Team 1 & Team 2 Faculty Defence Science & Technology ~

                                                                                                                   

SUKAF known as Sukan Antara Fakulty UPNM, competition among Faculty Defence Science & Technology, Faculty Defence Engineering, Faculty Defence Management, Faculty Defence Medicine & Health and Defence Foundation Centre. Many sports being compete, likes Football, Running 3.4km, Ping Pong, Volleyball and many more. I just took part in Larian SUKAF 3.4km, represent Faculty Defence Science & Technology for this game. 1 faculty send out 2 teams, 1 team stand for 5 guy cadets, 5 guy civilians and 2 ladies, can let 2 people become reserve.

So, total got 10 teams, only 5 teams can enter final round. This game was a team game, 10 people in a team run together and the timing counted the last person who came in the finishing line last. So, in a team, for sure ladies is the last person, so the whole team gave support to the ladies. For my team, I’m the only lady, another 9 people are guys. Senior let me pace him so that I can run faster. In the 1^st round, my team named as FSTP 1 got timing 15mins 26 sec. Many teams got faster than me. Luckily I still able to squeeze into final round.

During final round, to let me run faster and faster, senior borrow a rope made by bicycle tube from staff to pull me. One side of rope tied on senior’s waist while tied another side on my waist. He pull me for the whole journey, so I had to push myself to the maximum la. J Finally , we ran in the finishing line with timing 14mins09sec, fast enough right? Haha J I’m very satisfied with my result, but who knows, juniors from Faculty Foundation were many seconds in front me.

1^st – Foundation Centre : 13mins 45sec

2^nd – Faculty Science & Technology : 14mins 09sec

3^rd – Faculty Management : 14mins 25sec

4^th – Faculty Management : 14mins 26sec

5^th – Faculty Medicine : 16mins

I thought can get no.1 for this game, but failed. Nevermind la, next game next game. Anyway, my timing was improved from 15mins 26sec to 14mins 09sec, about 1min 17sec, there was a lot, is my best time for 3,4km I think. I’m satisfied with the result although get only no.2 haha J Thanks for everyone from my faculty who gave us support. Appreciate it.

Log Race Inter Company PALAPES

~ All companies in PALAPES ~

~ Track of Log Race~

In battalion PALAPES, to find out the best company among 4 companies, there are competition of military sports and university sports to see which company get the highest mark. Military sports included Log Race, Cross Country ,Kawad Kaki, Jalan Laju 8km and Merentas Halangan while University Sports included Netball, Futsal, Football, Handball and Volleyball. Until now, I just took part in Log Race, for distance of 1.6km. OC battalion wanted to upgrade the level, wants to change the name of Best Company to Company Diraja. J Well, we will see which company can hold the name of Company Diraja...

On 17 March 2013, the next day of our Intermediate Happy Hour Cowboy Night, we had our Log Race Inter Company PALAPES. For the 1^st time, I carried log on my shoulder. Log Race is a game works in pair, with full loreng, bag pack with 8kg sand, webbing set and M16. Put on the spike boots, I can’t run at all. Haha.

~ Delta the winner ~

Every company send out 2 platoons for Log Race, and 1 platoon stand for 32 people. After all, Company Delta appeared as the winner for Log Race while Platoon 2 of Company Charlie as the best platoon. Delta Company is my company, my platoon actually came in the finishing the earliest, but we hit many penalties, so lost few marks behind Platoon 2 of Charlie.

COWBOY Night Happy Hour 2013

In military, always got this function ah that function ah, always need to spend money. But as long as can close up friendship between intake batch mates, everything is worthy. Last year, during my JUNIOR year, we also had our 1^st HAPPY HOUR. Compare with last year’s function, HAPPY HOUR this year was much better.

ACTIVITY: HAPPY HOUR INTERMEDIATE 2013

PRESENT: OC Battalion, Officers and staffs, YOs, cadet PALAPES Intermediate

That morning, we just finished swimming lesson, quite tired but we more looking forward for our HAPPY HOUR that night. Our batch mates very cooperate, together decorate and did the last preparation for that night. The most tired people are AJK for this activity, really appreciate everything they did. They planned from A-Z very nice, included decoration of the hall, gimmick of activity and many la.

Then many games they played “Chicken Fight, Arm Wrestling, Balloon Dart, Casino Desk and Limbo Rock. So fun of that night, felt like the real party, like in a pub. Haha J Because they setup the officer tables at front, YOs’ tables were at the side, then back side of the hall was like a bar supply drink likes sparkling and juices for us and middle was a space for everyone. The setup very awesome, plus the decoration, that was perfect.

Everyone of intermediate cadets should contribute something in this activity. As a part of intermediate cadet PALAPES, Syamin and I were decided to do a performance during that time. Syamin is my roommate and also my dancing partner. We did our 1^st K-pop Performance during JUNIOR HAPPY HOUR last year, with the song I’ll be back by 2PM. J Don’t get shock …. J Last year we didn’t get enough time to practice and did the performance not so serious. This year, we used to practice dance in room. We wanted to do performance in front of people, but very hard to speak out unless people invite us to perform. Noon of that day, we inform and request AJK performance to put in a sort of K-pop Performance. They agreed to let us perform, wow, so good, well, we just got around 5 hours to prepare, very last minute. We decided to play 3 songs: short “SUJU- Sorry-sorry”, cut “T-ara- Lovey-Dovey” and full “Wonder Girls- Like This”, around 5 minutes of performance. Syamin is a good dancer; she can dance much better than me J I think I should do more dancing training la.

Everybody was so enjoy in that party, non-stop of capture pictures, me too. That day also got a sort for Celebration of March Birthday babies. Other than that, Awards of Cowboy King and Cowgirl Queen were announced.

Everybody was so enjoy that day, I think that week was the most excited, most fun, most interesting and most awesome training in PALAPES. Everybody was so happy and tired. On the next day got Log Race Inter Company for training. Wa, so tired, but meaningful la. But still, many photos in friend’s phone haven’t get it…

I just can say I like my intake so much. They are so ASKAR, they are so cooperate, they are so good.
