Annual Camp 2014

During Junior stage, we did CIW while during Intermediate stage, we did CW Advance and Retreat exercise. And as Senior for the last year for annual camp, we did CW Defence and Attack exercise called Aksasais Mandi Peluh. This year, we stayed 6 days at Bukit Botak, Jelebu, Negeri Sembilan. You heard the place Bukit Botak, then you should imagine how Bukit Botak looks like. For your information, Bukit Botak is really botak and high altitude, surrounding of this mountain got none of tree, no shady place to hide from sun. After 6 days been stay at the open place on the mountain with no water supply and not enough food, we get sun burn, very very serious sun burn. Days during the exercise, really feel like labor who really work very hard to earn money. During daytime, sunlight very strong and we still work hard under hot sun, during night time feels very very cold since we are at high altitude area. One day, we just get issued 2 bottles of 1.5L mineral waters, we had to save it for drinking, toilet use and other usage, can say not enough lo. Our squads got dehydration and send to medic.

~ Before depart, everybody still very clean ~

~ Our harbor base before move to Bukit Botak ~

~ View of Bukit Botak, no tree man ~

~ None of tree, we use leaf to prevent sunlight and as the camouflage ~

~ Tools to dig the hole, want to dig until when? ~

~ My partner, pity him to help me dig the hole, haha ~

~ That is the only place to find shade ~

~ Because we were at high place, so can get to see good view ~

~ Stand to ~

For defence stage, is the craziest thing I ever do, every pair of partners needs to dig a big hole like a grave. The main point is to defence from enemy, prevent attack from enemy, dig a place for us to stand and sleep. All work by hand you should know, 3 days limit for us to dig until chest height. Is it crazy? Pair is one girl one guy, so that the guy can dig more, for my team, I think my partner dig the whole hole la, haha. For 1st day, we must dig until knee level, 2nd day until waist height, and 3rd day until chest height. For all of that, depends on the height of the higher partner, so have to dig very very deep. Dig for that deep need 3 days, but when cover back just need 5mins, oh my god.

~ Success of my partner and me ~

~ My platoon ~

~ We are trained to sleep at just anyplace ~

~ We are human, do need a rest when tired, then move on again ~

This was the last annual camp for senior, so everybody really put their heart in the exercise. 6 days didn’t bath at all, yerrr, smelly, but have to get used to it, everybody smell the same, haha. There also got no toilet, so? Haha, pandai pandai la. To make this annual camp more memorable, our officer organized a BBQ party for us, coincidentally was birthday of one of our squad. All these unforgettable memory will always engrave in my mind forever, may be the toughest, craziest, hardest but sweetest memory.

~ NC and lecturers paid us visit ~

~ Is time to go back ~

Penang International Duathlon and Triathlon

My victory in 2013, I joined Duathlon, it was 5.5 km RUN – 40 km BIKE – 10 km RUN. Won this race was out of my expectation. But that winning creates a title for me and let more people know me. Won 1 time in race can cover you lose 10 times in race. Luckily people just remember the race I won, they don’t know how many races I have lose. Maybe join 20 races, just can win once. Who knows, it all depends on athlete him/ herself and luck. After half year, when friends see me and still say, wa, pandai ho, champion lo. Haiz…

TEVA Kenaboi Adventure Race

Another champion in 2013. TEVA Kenaboi Adventure Race was very adventure, but still a great race to challenge. Thanks to my partner who guide me to finishing line together.

Never plan to go Korea so fast as I’m still a student, no money man… But I went t Korea one week, like something just happened yesterday. Winter Korea, ski, oh my god, I miss Korea so much. But due to quite busy recently, so still can’t produce the posts. Aiyo. Blog posts of Korea free and easy trip still in progress.

We have to look forward for our days. 2013 just ended, welcome 2014. What should I wish for in 2014???

Look ahead my planner of 2014, it will be very very important year for me. Why important? Because I will be commissioned as Leftenan Muda for Reserve Officer Training Unit, Commissioning Paraade (around August) and my Degree Convocation (around October) also in 2014. Really hope can pass and graduate from degree level in year 2014. 2014 maybe will be a bit busier, but still, cannot live without blogging, haha. Hope can find a boyfriend too in this year, wahaha. And also, have to plan for travel for sure.

Where to visit in 2014? Any suggestion?

New Zealand Working Holiday? Taiwan Round Island Cycling Trip? Penang Round Island Cycling Trip?
Anyone wants to be my partner?

After graduate?

Want to work straight ahead after convocation? Continue study Master? Go for sailing? Rest first?

Oh my god…so many choices, who can help me???

Anyway, Happy new year to everyone.

Happy New Year !!!

Kongkoil River Crossing, Floating Techniques

~ Beautiful view from Kongkoil Camp ~

After Kongkoil Aksasais Compass Marching, we continue our training with River Crossing and Floating Techniques. Kongkoil Camp has a lake, dirty tea-color-lake, haha. Before we start training, our staffs put few explosive boms to scare the fishes underwater, so that fishes in the water faint for a while during our training. Here comes to play in the water playground which I most scare for. I’m scared because I don’t know what’s underwater, hope fishes won’t bite me. We training together with junior.

~ Around 100m of distance ~

~ One of my squad ~

~ It’s my turn ~

Well, about river crossing, actually very easy. Why I say easy? Because it was really easy!!! Haha. As got a rope link between two banks, and we were wearing lifejacket and it was buckle up with the rope, won’t drown anyway. We just had to pull the water by grabbing the water to reach another bank of the lake. It was just like playing with water, but the water very dirty!!! Before we start, we have to sink into the water once to “warm up” our body and adapt with the water. Then report to officer: “Saya Pegawai Kadet Wanita XXX, siap untuk menyeberangi kolam”. Then just slide to another bank of lake, very fun. This is one of the important training in military, as to train military personnel to cross river in an emergency case. Like what you see in movie, military personnel help victims to survive. You don’t think we do this just for fun ok, that is none of the activity we do it without any objective.

~ Everybody lined up for their turn ~

~ Pillow ~

After done for River Crossing, another section called “Perapungan” aka floating. How they do the “floating pillow” actually, what is the ingredients inside? They do the “floating pillow” with poncho, ingredient is GRASSES. They wrap a lot a lot of grasses inside, then use branch to stable it and tie up the whole pillow neatly and tightly. The “pillow very heavy, have to carry 2 persons. Thissection challenge cooperation between 2 persons. One person holds in front while another person hold behind and swim to another side. In my case, I can’t swim and my partner also can’t swim, we cannot move at all. HAHA. Then the staff helped to pull us.

~ Staff pulled us ~

~ My partner for floating ~

Really was a great experience to try all this military training. Sometimes feel sad cannot enjoy much holiday and freedom, sacrifice our time, when we look back, we did something great in our young life. Yeah, everthing worth it. All this experience not included in our text book, cannot buy it anyhow. So, just enjoy the training with our squads.

~ My hands when finish training, so geli ~

~ After training ~

~ Report finish training ~

~ Prepare pre mess night for senior ~

I still remember the week after came back from training, my whole body full with red dots because of too hot. Until I went home and get some air-conditioner air, just turned better.
