1st Year Degree Finished
Foundation year ended last year, 1st year of
Degree in Technology Maritime also completed last month. Just in a clip of
eyes, I studying in UPNM already past 2 years, living in a military camp, I
went through all difficulties and also different lifestyle compare to outside.
Last year, when I was a foundation student in UPNM, I was a full-time civilian
student, wearing grey colour uniform with beret, walked in a group (like
marching) to class, with a pair of empty epaulets on shoulders (for foundation
student), no worries about seniors, just concentrate on studies.
This year, during 1st year degree, at the same
time also enroll as a member of Reserve Officer Training Unit (ROTU). For ROTU,
we got 3 types of training sessions: Local Training (Saturday& Sunday-twice
per month), Continuous Training (1 week –twice per year) and Annual Camp (14
days included 10days spent in jungle). From that moment, I’m not more a
full-time civilian student anymore, I’m turn to a part-time civilian student
only. We live like a civilian student during weekdays and as a ROTU during
Saturday & Sunday. But as a ROTU, we need to wear green uniform (like army)
to class, I haven’t get my uniform no.3, so we need to wear uniform no.5>>>
Loreng Suit with marching boots to class, really make me crazy. ROTU need 3
years to complete and commission as a Leftenen Muda (Young Officer), 1st
year called Junior, 2nd year called Intermediate ,3rd
year called senior and after commission called Yang Officer(Y.O.). I’m just 1st
year in ROTU, so called as JUNIOR. AS usual, junior what, haha, you know la….
Culture in UPNM teaches us respect, cooperative among team and many more. When
we meet with senior, we should greet them and ends with Sir/Ma’am. When wearing
uniform, we need to salute officer and greet them. Talking about this, think
back when walking to class, really very scared, scared of bump with officer, I
get scold by an officer before, she asked why didn’t salute her, haiz, should
be alert next time. Also once, I lazy to wear uniform to class, I just wear
baju kurung to class (want to act like a civilian student), but they can
recognized me, asked me why didn’t wear uniform, want to skip day from wearing
uniform also cannot, so frustrated. But,
I knew I did wrong, wear uniform is kind of responsibility also, so next
semester, if I get uniform no.3, I will wear it everyday, don’t worry. As a
ROTU, we also got our military card called BAT C20, also got military number.
When in year 1 degree, I active in both sports and
co-curriculum activities. I took part in many running events and always turned
on to training sessions. For my co-curriculum, that is ROTU, I sometimes got
skipped for local training if the date clash with my running events, but I
presented full in Continuous Training and Annual Camp. Writing about Annual
Camp just remember that I haven’t write the blog post about Annual Camp
experience yet, oh my gosh, totally forgot. If you ask me “ Have you hold M16?”,
“Yes, I did”; “ Did you live in jungle?”, “yes, 10 days straight”; “ Did you drink
water from river?”, “ Yes, for sure.”; “ Did you experience the war?”, “ Ya,
when we training in the jungle, got ambush actions.” and many more special
experience. If interested to hear my jungle stories, I can explain to you. J Thinking back for 10 days life in the jungle, really very
tension, but quite fun and interesting, been eating the rations for 10days,
feels like wanna vomit when smell of rations now. In military, is “ One for
All, All for one”, if one person do wrong, the whole platoon will be punished
together. In military, no difference between girl and boy, all are same, carry
same weight of bag pack, carry M16, and wearing same uniform.
~ My medals collected for
one semester. ~
Besides than sport events and ROTU’s training, I also paid
attention on studies, when active in too many activities, need to always remind
myself in whatever condition also need to “ Play hard, study hard, enjoy hard”.
Do everything also need to balance it and think twice for every choice. So, in
Jun, I already completed my 1st year degree studies and finished 1st
year, JUNIOR year in ROTU. From JUlai onwards, starts to shake legs and enjoy
my holiday for 2 months++. Will be reopen school on 11 September, that time
will be upgrade to become 2nd year degree student, INTER in ROTU,
not more JUNIOR, while will got 2 batches of juniors to take care. At the same
time, will got 2 lines’ epaulets on my shoulders already, but the
responsibility more. For 2nd year in degree, I need to pay more
attention on every extents, as grow bigger should know more and do better.
Looking forward for my life in September onwards.
Living in Malaysia, a multi racial country, we have our own
choice for our religion. Multi racial is the special part for Malaysia, but for
sure it also cause of racist problem in Malaysia. UPNM is a smallest
university, student capacity around 3000 people only, but still will grow bigger
in future. If calculate, non- Muslims are around 50 people, Chinese just stand
for not more than 30 people. You must be thinking how I survive there… Luckily
I’m from a Malay kampung, if not, I think I will be too mental to stay there.
For me, is not a big problem, but just sometimes hear people talking about
religion problem ah, just close my ears and shut my mouth, act like nothing
happen. This is the only way to survive, just endure it, time pass by, I have
cross my limit of endure and achieve to the highest limit to endure everything,
learn to handle everything with calm and peaceful mind. As a Malaysian, besides
than know the culture practice in our religion, we should get to know culture
for other religions too. For 2 years stayed with Malay and Indian friends, I
know more about their culture now. Learn to respect their culture is not a bad
thing. Not so close with Chinese friends in UPNM, because all of us are
different courses and different year, sometimes, I never talk in Chinese for 1
week, I just talk in Chinese when I bump to Chinese friends there. At there, I
usually use English and Malays to communicate with friends. To not let my
Chinese level gone down, I used to read Chinese books and watch Chinese movies
lo, got no choice. J
Got a lot of difficulties happen that people did not know, maybe
people won’t understand also. Also got funny thing happen, it may creates some interest
and laughter in my hostel life. I only build common friendship with friends in UPNM,
My best friends are my 1st roommates. Besides than them, I got nobody
to share my feelings. Only this blog is my best friend in UPNM, a window for me
to share my experience and thrown out all my thoughts. Living in a place surrounded
by Malays, I know them very much, but in real, we always have different thoughts.
To refresh my mind and make sure to keep myself always updated with outside the
world, I like to go shopping to “wash” my eyes and go for gathering with friends,
but actually very difficult to plan a gathering.
~ My classmates, navy
and civilian students ~
For now, i got holiday for 2 months++, I did a list-to-do,
notice that so many things I want to do, but don’t know how many I can done.
Just wait and see the chances come. I want to go bag pack travel (but difficult
to find partners), cook delicious foods, do my newspaper-cut-assignment, learn
dancing, read novels and many more… Happy holiday.J Another thing is my BIG DAY is coming soon. Before turn into
full 20 years old, I wish myself can do something special or create some different
thing in my life. What to do leh, got no idea.
~ At home, helping
father to look after his shop, tea time, enjoy coffee with travel diary. ~

Making of Spaghetti
Sem break holiday for 2 months++, of course need to learn something
new and useful. I did a list-to-do, ya, full-listed, but don’t know how many can
be done within this 2 months, you know la, free time very easy to be wasted. But,
I crossed my 1st step, many foods that I would like to learn, spaghetti
is one of them, so I bought the ingredients that needed. When the chance comes,
my mum brought me to Tesco, I quickly grabbed Prego mushroom tomato sauce and spaghetti
into the trolley. Nowadays world full of development technology, just click on
search button on website, then everything will pop up. I search how to make spaghetti,
found that very easy, and coincidently my auntie at home and she helped me to
make it. Very easy to make it.
Prepare Ingredients
-
Spagetti
-
Sauce
-
Tomato
-
Mushroom
-
Meat(cut into small
pieces)
-
Strainer
-
Salt, sugar
1st step: Cook the spaghetti
Put ½ packet of spaghetti
(for 5 plate) into boil water, make sure water more than spaghetti, then cook
around 10-15mins. Pour a little bit cooking oil into the boil water. The spaghetti
change to yellow colour and easy to bite means is ok already. Then put cooked spaghetti
into cold water or warm water, to not make the spaghetti stick together.
2nd step: Pour out the extra water
By using strainer, separate the spaghetti and water. After
separate it, can make tomato on the other hand.
3nd step: Making sauce
Put Prego tomato sauce into kuali, then add some meat (cut
into small pieces), tomato (also cut into small pieces), mushroom, salt and
sugar into the sauce, add some water also. If you like to add any other special
ingredients, can do so. After taste the sauce, if you feel that the taste is
ok, then can ready to serve.
4th step: Ready to serve
Allocate spaghetti into 5 plates, then pour the sauce onto
it. Yeah, delicious pasta is ready to eat.
Process of making this pasta is really very easy and fast.
You may have a try too. If can eat spaghetti with mushroom soup, that will be super nice. Hoohoo.. So happy my 1st new food making
succeed: Spaghetti. Hehe.. Want to know what I will do next?
Wait and see….. J

T-ara Wind Blows
Last time, I don’t know so much about k-pop, just know about
Super Junior. Then with Runningman, I totally melt with that show,8 members of them
are very funny. Actually, I prefer to watch variety show compare to drama, because
only on variety shows, you can see the real person of the idol and the real relationship
between artists, I more concern their daily life lo. Drama is just shows fake relationship
between artists but I can’t deny that dramas can help to relieve tension. And now,
I can’t resist temptation of T-ara.
T-ara is one of the best girl groups from Korea. I start to know
them from a 2009’s song>>>> [Time To Love – TTL], is a song by T-ara
and Supernova, very nice, I will hear for at least 5 times per day. Because of this
song too nice, make me wanna know T-ara more. Then I find all information about
T-ara. If not mistaken, T-ara now got 7 members for latest, they are So Yeon, Ji
Yeon, Hyo Min, Eun Jung, Qri, Boram and Hwayoung. Wa, I already can recognize all of
them leh. I find all their songs, just know they got so many nice songs. T-ara can
dance very nice and sing very well and also beautiful.
In T-ara, I love Ji yeon the most, she is too beautiful, can
act, can dance and can sing well. Ji Yeon is the main dancer in T-ara and she is
most popular among this group. And you should know the most important thing
>>>> she is younger than me, she is just 19 years old in 2012, is the
youngest in T-ara. Ji Yeon also very close to IU as they two are same age girls.
Ji Yeon also a taekwando girl, she learned taekwando since 5 years old. Sometimes,
look at her photo, looks cool, beautiful, cute, funny, serious… I love T-ara because
all 7 members have very close relationship. If you want to know talent about Ji
Yeon, maybe this video can show you>>>> Youtube. Waa…really get fever
about T-ara.
These are some videos I would like to share with all of

Conclusion for MUDS 2012
~ Members of Kelab Sukan
Lasak UPNM ~
Management of Kelab Sukan Lasak UPNM is always well-managed.
To let you be a strong athlete, at the same time teach you to become a good
manager, but get good result in studies also, build many all-rounded students
and cadets as well. Every semester, one intake will in charge all the events
that we would like to take part in. There are many events from this semester:
-Orienteering IPT
-Standard Charted KL Marathon 2012
~ UPNM Contingent ~
I already one year in this club, I organized Brooks Half
Marathon and MUDS. MUDS is the largest event that I in charge with another 2
friends. MUDS already ended and UPNM proudly brought back 3 trophies
>>> Man Duathlete of The Year, Best University Award and Top
University Award. Where is trophy of Woman Duathlete of The Year? J Don’t ask me. Sincerely from my deep heart, I learned a lot
through this event. Before this, I never touch Paint software, because
of this event, my friend and I use it to draw layout, is not easy for beginner
to use it. I also knew how to create video with Window Movie Maker already,
last time I tried to create video but got problem with the soundtrack, this
time I succeed with help from Shobana, there are 2 videos I prepared for this
event >>> Pre-MUDS 2012 and End of MUDS 2012. Hope everybody enjoying
this video. I also learnt how to communicate with others and how to handle all
the things. For the whole month, I just focused more on MUDS, training and
spent time on studies, got no time to watch movie at all. No movie is not a big
problem for me. Sometimes, I noticed that some of the people can do their
things quietly and pop up with a very good impact, but I just can’t achieve
that level yet, I used to let everybody know about my progress, failed la me, I
must learn to do as many as things in a shortest time, without get knowing
others and just let people see the result of my job. Is that better? J
Tarmizi, Bukhari and I , 3 of us in charge of MUDS, we are from 3 different faculties and 3
different services, luckily not 3 different genders J It caused a big problem when 3 of us from different
faculties, difficult to meet up and discuss about this event. When the job given to us, is time for us to divide our job. One of them very cooperate with
me and we did the job given together, while another one was not. Responsibility
very important if you want to become an officer, but people didn’t think that
and reality just right in front our eyes. When you text people asking for help,
among 10 people, maybe just got 1 person will reply you, but when you text
people informing the job is settled, then everybody will reply you “OK”. Haha.
This is all about reality la, people are always avoid from problem. For me, why
am I always bumped with problems? Maybe I haven’t fully understood the word “REALITY”…aih…
nevermind, will try to explore the word “REALITY”. Here comes another example:
I ask A to do one job, then he can talked to me saying he is busy, meanwhile he
is holding his phone, smiling at his phone, busying text his girlfriend. How
can a person can just ignoring the job I gave to him and busy for his
relationship??? Oh my god. In another case, I also noticed that when you cooperate with "M-people", even if you did your job with fast and good efficiency, that will also useless, because they like to do changes at very very last minutes. i hate it. i cannot look at people who do their job without any efficiency and like a snail. but got no chance, just can endure it.
For this event, I always seem to be rushed and anxious all
the time, because I think my responsibility on this event was quite important.
When you think the job is important, others mustn’t think so. People always
make things simple, but why I always make things more complicated? Am I worried
too much? In my mind, I just want the event can be held perfectly and wonderful, nothing
gets wrong in between. Now, I’m trying to find back my cold-blooded heart, TYL,
you need to calm down, have to feels calmed all the time. The event ended, I’m
very pleased to say my friends and I didn’t contribute any wrong bib no. to the
participants. This was a mistake mentioned by seniors that happen every
previous year and could be happen this year as well. Yeah, this year we did it
completely, don’t know got anybody notice it? J I gave
the best to the participants, I think the information we gave to club members
about his event are quite complete la. If there was anything wrong, I feel
sorry also. But there is one thing that my partners and I would like to prepare
for club members but failed to do it because of some “technical problem”. There
is supplement problem, at 1st we would like to apply sponsor from
ALK for the supplements for this game. But because of one “useless” people, I
felt so sad of get nothing supplements for club members.
After the event, I still keep the information and softcopy
about MUDS, keep it for juniors for next year. And now, my bicycle already gave
back to the owner and the owner wanted to sell it to others already, so sad.
Bye bye bicycle that brought me continuously 3 times of 2nd placing
in Women University Category in MUDS. Aiya, I’m still considering whether want
to buy a new bike for myself or not. Bike costs about RM3K, plus RM1k for accessories,
wah….
~ ZULU~
MUDS was the last event for final year students because they
are going to go through their ZULU’s life and commissioning soon. To show our
club’s appreciation to the “founder group” of Kelab Sukan Lasak UPNM, we hold
one lunch function called “Majlis Meraikan Kejayaan ahli Kelab Sukan Lasak” to
celebrate our club’s winning in MUDS and there was a special slot for ZULU’s
farewell. Kelab Sukan Lasak UPNM prepared souvenirs for the group of old
horses, our coach and penasihat Kelab. A warm and happy family of Kelab Sukan
Lasak shown in that lunch function. Good luck to everyone in their future
undertaking and continue in endurance sports.
~ Our coach received our
souvenir ~
It is already ended for MUDS, I really appreciate every
chance given to distribute for this club. I grew up a lot from this event. Thanks.
Everything returned to zero again as I just a common athlete of this club and I still
need to focus for my badminton training. J
