9 OCT 2011, a nice Sunday, I present myself in Pikom charity Run. I knew this event very early, but because of registration and transportation problems make me need to think twice before join the program, it’s really very trouble staying inside campus, always got something block and spoil my plan. Well, this time I overcome my problem with a nice way. Before 2 days of the race, Endurance Club’s coach, Physical Training Instructor (PTI), Staf Jasmi help a senior, Tn. Suhaime and I register at the registration centre. I feel very lucky to have such good person as my coach, not every people can do that. I paid RM30 for the registration fees and get a running vest.
The race is on Sunday, coincidently I need to go through PALAPES weekend training on Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday, a very tired day, training and activities from 6am to 8pm. Plus on Saturday during PALAPES training, we got Ujian Kecergasan Asas (UKA),incuded sit up test, larian 4x10m, Lompat Jauh, Mendagu and 2.4km run. After dinner, I faster clean up my things and calm down my mood, prepare for the race and sleep earlier.
Here started a new experience. We don’t have transport to go out from campus to LRT station,so me and the senior borrow the bicycle from Endurance Club. 6.30AM,we rush and cycled out to LRT Sungai Besi, we park our bicycle at mosque and tie it with rope. Actually I’m very scare if got something happen to the bicycle. When reach Sungai Besi, almost 7am already, the event start at 7.30am,are we can rush to there on time? Sitting inside the LRT with unstable feeling. Arrived at Station Masjid Jamek, straight run to Capsquare, Pikom ICT Mall.
Before the race, we already run like hell to the venue, find out the place to put our luggage. After that, we put on our pin no and heading to starting line. Oh gosh, I haven’t warm up when I was standing in front of the starting line. I just take some time to warm up before flag off.
Wooo…wooo….the famous sound made by every participants in every race, the race started….I run on my way and my body condition quite good that day. The distance is 6.5km, the distance not too long to me, because I got training every evening lastly. I know how the condition of my body. The route is tough enough, a very high hill that challenge us. But I don’t know why, I didn’t feel tired and didn’t feel like want to stop down have a rest. Then I continue my way to the finishing line. Oh, finally reached, I completed my non-stop 6.5km’s run, I get placing no.7 for the women open category …
I pass by with the cash-prize, just get a finisher medal, so sad. On the other hand, my strong senior get placing no.4 in men open category, he got the opportunity to stand at the podium and received RM150 cash prize.
If I got no.5, then I also can stand on the podium and receive cash prize already, haiz…maybe my hardwork still not enough, need to add somore oil. But is ok, I get new experience on that day and at least I’m doing charity because this is charity run ^.^ We also took many photos at there..is inside the album…
After the run, we went to have nice breakfast.
Then, Suhaime go to his way and I walked around in Masjid Jamek. I bought some
daily use at Mydin then depart back to UPNM. Again by LRT to Sungai Besi. Then
continue to cycle back to campus. Was my very 1st 1st
time ride in and out from UPNM, very easy but funny. 1pm reached UPNM and have
a while of rest.2pm onwards, I continue with my PALAPES training. Wa, nobody
will feel my tiredness if you are not me. Haha. PALAPES training until 8pm.
Rest and cool down my energetic body, massage to my legs. Quickly finish my
homework and prepare my books. Why must prepare my books, no need rest? Hehe.
Don’t forget oh, is Monday again on the other day, is a new week, it’s time to
go to class….A very pack schedule on weekend, but I enjoy…Many events coming
soon…collecting medal is my life…
NO PAIN,NO GAIN
