Visit to VTMS

VTMS known as Vessel Traffic Management System and in Malay the building called Menara Kawalan Trafik Pelabuhan Klang. 14 December 2012, Our class field trip visit to VTMS to let us see the situation in the traffic control tower. West Port is a quite popular port in Malaysia port.

 ~ Situation in the traffic control tower. With developing technology nowadays, everything are computerized to make sure communication between ships and control tower are running smoothly ~

~ Containers and cars at port. Port Klang is using single crane service ~

~ Coincidentally got one ship U-turning to enter port during our trip, we are lucky to see that. Through binocular, can captured that was MTT Kinabalu container ship. I like this photo ~

期待〉 第十届雪隆年少情《震撼361°》全国生活营

~第十届雪隆年少情《震撼361°》全国生活营~

等了许久，终于收到了入营通知书。21-23.12.2012,将会kem Kubu Bharu报到。虽然那时是我的study week,但我还是恨不得要参加。第十届雪隆年少情《震撼361°》全国生活营是个很大型的生活营，大约有450位营员吧，还可以看到林德荣， 哇。。。

~ Stress啊，买了两件衣，3个颜色，我要画最美的~

主办当局要求应营员们准备一件白衣，然后以最创意的方式涂鸦，写上《震撼361°》5个字。第一天晚上会有个涂鸦晚会，最有创意的将会得到礼物噢。虽然平时看了很多衣服杂志，但现在想画在自己的衣上，想设计件超完美的衣反而不知要怎么画，烦啊，有任何意见吗?

 ~ 要用哪件衣呢？一件粗布RM16.90，一件cotton布RM9.00 ~

~ 买了3种颜色，一罐RM3.50，好贵噢，该用什么设计呢？

虽然现在还没去到营地，但营员们在FB上都已经炸到很疯了,大家都混得很好了.我被派到第17组-飞马座， 应该有28名组员吧。真的很期待快点和大家见面。Kubu Bharu 好远噢，都不知道要怎么去。。。

这些材料都在sungai besi 买的。上完课，马上跟朋友借了脚车往pekan sungai besi 去。其实sungai besi 什么都不缺啦，如果不要太挑的话，还是可以逛逛的。但是戏院就没一间啦。 要Domino Pizza, KFC, OldTown White Coffee, KK, Secret Recipe就有啦，活得过啦。哈哈 J

~ 踏脚车来到sungai besi了，当然要吃了一碗板面才进去啊， RM 4.50~

这星期忙透了，忙到连傍晚要去跑步的时间也没有.发霉了啦。接下来还剩几天的2012年也没有空啊。

UPNM Chinese Students 1st Gathering

~ UPNM Awam Chinese Students ~

Chinese students are very limited in UPNM, Awam got 24 people while Cadet got around 40 people, total aound 60 chinese students for whole foundation and degree year. Everybody are different faculties, years, different intake, different classes, different courses, kinda hard to meet up. In UPNM, we don’t have a platform to communicate and know each other very well. Sometimes, even bump with each other in campus also didn’t wish and greet each other.

So, Jean Yean decided to organize a gathering for Chinese students, and yes, we did. On 6.12.2012, also my mum’s birthday, we gathered for the 1^st time. 19 Awam chinese students turned up to the gathering. Since we went for gathering on Thursday, so cadets unable to join us. On Thursday after class, we departed to Lot 10 by public transport.We had our very sweet and cheerful moment at Restaurant Shabu One.

~ Steamboat Buffet for our dinner, RM23 per head, but worth to eat. ~

Was great to know more about juniors and seniors. We chit chat after the delicious steamboat. Looking forward for next gathering maybe is CNY gathering. If cadets also can join, then will be the best. J

Penang Bridge International Marathon 2012

~ When crossing finishing line ~

Every year I never miss out this largest marathon event, this is the 3^rd time I took part in Penang Bridge International Marathon (PBIM). When year 2010, I only took part in Fun Run Category, year 2011 took part in Half Marathon and same for this year. I just like the crowd of this marathon, total of 35k people from the world joint in this marathon. 18 November 2012, I did another half marathon for my running record. Penang Bridge only close and open for race once a year, and this is the last year ran on this old bridge, so everybody were too excited to join and took picture of the bridge crazily. Next year PBIM will run on a secondlink bridge, there is another new bridge in Penang, at the area of Batu Mau. Looking forward for PBIM next year….

I took part in Half Marathon, so race started at 3am, for the 1^st time, I wore sleeveless running vest, with tight, sumore didn’t tie up my hair during the race. When represent UPNM for event, I didn’t wear sleeveless la, too shy plus 2 days before PBIM, I just get to straighten my hair, so I didn’t tie up. I didn’t prepare for this race actually, just for fun. So sad to see my result is same with last year, 2hrs 24mins, no improvement at all, get placing 108^th out of 1876 women in this category.

~ Can you see the crowd of PBIM ~

While waiting my friend to fetch me after race, when I was resting at the side, got one guy sitting “medium distance” beside me. After a while, he took his bag and sitting beside me asking: “Are you waiting for your friend? You look very sad.” Haha, and conservations started. I’m so hard to answer his question. Everytime meets with new friends, I prefer if people don’t ask me which university I am from. I’m very proud to be a UPNM’s student, but it will be better if you don’t know my background. Usually will get replied like:

 “ Wa, Har, you look so well-bred, how come you are a UPNM’s student”

“Wa, can’t imagine how you survive there”

“Wow, really salute you la”

“ Har, then you all learn machine gun there ah?”

Wa , Wow, Har, Wa, Wow, Har J Eveybody giving me the response of too surprise and too admire. Haha, Better don’t ask me, I’m scare of response from everybody, seriously. I think UPNM’s student will know the feeling.

That guy named Desmond, from Sabah, many things we shared, we even shared about sports, marathon, duathlon and triathlon. He is also a sport man, I shared the events I joined before and exchange some sport knowledge with him. He was like too amazed to see a girl with sport knowledge about marathon, duathlon and triathlon. Oh my god. Ya, less women play sports, but I’m one of the one whom active in sports. I live under Kelab Sukan Lasak UPNM, of course I learn from seniors about this. Yeah, I get to used all this knowledge already. All of the sudden make me feel like I’m an athlete, and feel proud because of being a member of Kelab Sukan Lasak UPNM. Really let me learn a lot. Thanks J

After the game, I carried my bags and back to KL, for study la. PBIM new bridge, see you next year. Next year will run on the new bridge, new route, what category should I in? Still half marathon or try again for full marathon? I shall give full marathon another try. J Cannot imagine 6hrs on the road….News already come out stated that PBIM 2013 will held on 17 November 2013, will using new brige. Stay tuned…

ESCAPE to Penang

~ Ticket costs RM48, but worth it ~

~ We went there 6 people ~

~ The small guy very brave, only 8 years old ~

Is hard to find out a suitable time to meet up old friends, everyone free on different moments. Coincidentally got Deepavali holiday, we planned to cross Penang Bridge to Penang Island. Heard of the new-open ESCAPE very fun, so we decided to go there. This was my 2^nd time challenge this kind of extreme game, very fun. Last time was with kuanmootuan members. I surveyed about the price and the situation, 6 of us ON our plan. 7.30am departed to Penang, we reached there at around 11am and straight purchase the ticket. The crews are very nice and helpful.

~ Wa, so dangerous, but it’s safe, don’t worry ~

The design is very attractive and feels challenging. Got 8 parks that are available now, that are  Monkey business, Zoom Bug, Coco Climb, Gecko Tower, Go Ape, Tubby Racer, Tots Trail and Atan’s Leap. We 1^st went to the Monkey Business zone, wa, challenging, got 3 level, then each level of 3 sessions (easy, medium, hard). Very fun hanging upside, did many times of flying fokes. The sun was too hot weyh. When too many people people are up there, we have to wait, because each platform can’t more than 3 people.

After ESCAPE, we went to Gurney to seek for delicious food. Then, from Penang, when still stopped at Sungai Petani to watch movie, kinda crazy. A day spent with friend really very nice.

[Tips]

·         Bring sport attire, sport shoes(cannot wear slipper)

·         Bring gloves, to prevent from injured and pain

·         Arrive there 9am is the most suitable timing, because too hot during afternoon

·         Got 8 parks, will spend around 5-6 hrs for all parks

·         Can shower there after finish, bring own shampoo

·         Food and drinks are not allowed inside, got their own café

·         Facilities are clean, 100% safe, nice

·         Souvenirs can buy from souvenir shop

·         Lockers are provided inside
